Synopsis

In the first season of Death Note, high school student Light Yagami discovers a mysterious notebook, the Death Note, which allows him to kill anyone by writing their name while picturing their face. Disgusted with the crime-ridden world, Light decides to use the notebook to eliminate criminals and create a new world free of evil, becoming known as “Kira”. This leads to a cat-and-mouse game with the world’s top detective, L, who begins investigating Kira’s actions.
